have been awarded numerous accolades and achievements
over the years.

find below a brief summary of some of our achievements.
At the 2007 Michelangelo International
Wine Awards our Sauvignon
Blanc was awarded
a “Grand d’Or” (Double
Gold) and our Uva Mira 2005
a Gold Medal. We
were once
again at the receiving end of two Winemaker’s
Choice Diamond Awards for
our Single Vineyard Chardonnay and our
Uva Mira Vineyard Selection Blend
in the 2007 competition.
At the 2006 International Wine and Spirit
Competition Uva Mira Vineyards won the
coveted Dave Hughes Trophy for the “Best
South African Wine Producer Of The Year”,
“The best Chardonnay in the World”
and our winemaker, Matthew Van Heerden was
named as one of the top ten winemakers
in the world.
Our Chardonnay has received numerous awards which
include a Gold medal at
the
2005 Michelangelo International Wine Awards;
and the Trophy for “Best Chardonnay”
at the 2006 Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show.
John Platter has consistently
rated this wine (since its release) with a 4½
stars as
well as naming it in their “Top
Performers (two years in a row) and
“Highly recommended” list.
Stephen Tanzer, renowned
independent USA wine critic, has highly rated our
wines with
scores of 92+ in his edition of the critically acclaimed
“International Wine Cellar.”
Icon published by Wine Magazine
in conjunction with Michale Fridjon
rated us one
of the Top 10 wineries for 2006
and one of the leading producers
from 2004 to 2006.
We have won an array of gold medals
at the South African National Young Wines
Show,
the trophy for the
“Best 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon”
produced in Stellenbosch.
We have also annually been awarded a Premium
(first) Class listing on South African Airways
for our Sauvignon Blanc and our Merlot
/ Cabernet Sauvignon.
